Multiple pages within a single page.
Pages is a very innovative way of adding a lot of content (words and pictures) to a single page, without overloading the viewer with too much information at once.
Instead of making everything visible as the page loads, Pages breaks the content down into sections, putting only a relevant image, the content section heading and a "read more" link on the main page in a block. As users click the "read more" link the page changes to only display the content and images for that section.
In the demo above there are six blocks (with a cute dog picture!). Click "read more", and a section opens. Click "main page", and you go back to viewing the six blocks. Or, click "next" at the bottom of the section and you'll open the next section.
Cost. In the demo above there are six content sections. If we made six pages for this content, it would take six times longer than using pages. By cleverly putting all the content sections on a single page, it saves times and so dramatically reduces the cost.
Plus, using Pages makes it far easier for the viewer to see everything "in one go".
Pages is perfect for listing services, or products, or whatever.
We use Pages extensively on this site for our template page, portfolio page and in various other places too.
Pages can be styled however you want. The demo above uses very simple styling, but look around our portfolio and you'll see it being used on many client sites with many different designs and styles.
